03-01 Hetch Hetchy
The Hetch Hetchy Valley is the Tuolumne River equivalent of Yosemite Valley. Lying in the northwestern portion of Yosemite National Park, the valley was downed in the early 20th Century to provide water and power supply for San Francisco and neighboring communities.
It is possible to drive to O'Shaughnessy Dam, which forms the reservoir, view the valley walls and waterfalls, and hike along the northern shore of the reservoir.
